Like many people, I used to use Google as my home page. It's simple, it's fast, and it's the best search engine out there, what's not to love about Google? But while I do appreciate Google's simplicity, I began to grow bored with the color scheme, and being a demanding person, I wanted more.

I dreamed of a Google with a customizable color scheme, a Google where I could decide how it looked. After all, millions of people use Google (the simplest web page on the internet) as their home page. Don't they deserve some customizability?

Then one of my friends told me that Google lets people embed the Google Search box in their websites. I was shocked, and then it hit me: Google's a busy company with their own agenda, why not take matters into my own hands? Surely Google wouldn't mind me making a couple of colorful fan versions of their site, especially using their own search.

So I took what little I knew about html and photoshop, and set to work on creating a more colorful Google home page. A week later (and after more man hours than I care to admit) Google Blue was born. Soon after, I crafted Google Green, Google Yellow, and Google Pink to fill out the spectrum. After all, wasn't this all about variety?
